Finding a parking space and leaving your car in Oxford can be difficult, but once your here, Oxford City have made it very easy to get around, with great public transport.2A garden photos 012

Diana’s B&B is in Harefields, just off the Banbury Road and 2 mins walk to the nearest bus stop into town.  But as anywhere in Oxford, there is limited parking.  However most guests can park in front of the B&B or across the road, which has parking restrictions from 10am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.  The rest of the time it is free.

The Park & Ride at the New Railway Station

There is also a Park & Ride at Water Eaton, just a few minutes up the Banbury Road towards the north and is the site of the new Parkway Railways Station.  It is part of the Chiltern Railway system and goes from Paddington all the way to Hereford.  Oxford is just 48 mins to Paddington and the Park & Ride is literally just 2 bus stops away; 2 to 3 minutes in the car.

Monday to Saturday the buses run every 15 mins and on Sunday you can catch any of the other buses out on the main Banbury Road outside the Water Eaton car park.  We can also do pick up’s and drop offs to the park & ride, but this has to be pre-arranged.

There is NOW a bus that connects this new railway to Oxford’s central railway in town. My B&B is on this line. So a direct, convenient bus route from the old railway and now also from the new railway.
